ABC documentary ‘Cracking Covid’ stars Laureate Professor Peter Doherty

Airing on ABC last week, Sonya Pemberton’s documentary 'Cracking Covid" speaks to Australia’s significant scientific contribution and response to the pandemic though the eyes of researchers, clinicians and patients. It covers everything from our extended lockdowns in Victoria, vaccine development, the impacts of ‘long’ Covid and those that suffered severe illness to the current sentiment around vaccine complacency and hesitancy.

The documentary features leading experts from the Dept of Microbiology and Immunology and Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity including Laureate Professor Peter Doherty (Doherty Institute), Professor Sharon Lewin AO (Doherty Institute) and Professor Katherine Kedzierska (Dept Microbiology and Immunology & Doherty Institutes).
