Nicole Wiedmann
Nicole completed her PhD in 2017 at Monash University in metabolic neuroscience. Her project, "Central Neural Pathways Directed to Brown, White, and Transformed Beige Fat", focused on neuroanatomically mapping the central neural pathways directed to beige fat, and identifying the shift in the neurochemical signature of sympathetic ganglionic neurons projecting to beige fat. Nicole currently is part of the Keast/Osborne group, who are supported by the SPARC (Stimulating Peripheral Activity to Relieve Conditions) Program of the US National Institutes of Health, to map the neural circuitry of the lower urinary tract in order to develop new neuromodulatory therapies ('electroceuticals').
