Jaime Foong
My PhD and postdoctoral projects have been in the field of enteric neuroscience research. I am currently interested in two main areas: (1) to examine the neuronal circuitry controlling gastrointestinal functions including motility and secretion, and (2) to understand the mechanisms underlying the development of neuronal circuitry. I am currently leading a research team on my recent NHMRC project grant which aims to examine the role of microbiota in the developing Enteric Nervous System.
