Dr Gabriela Segal Wasserman

Dr Gabriela Segal is an Academic Specialist working for the Biological Optical Microscopy Platform (BOMP) in the Department of Biochemistry & Pharmacology at the University of Melbourne. Before joining the platform, she completed her PhD in tumour immunology with Prof Jose Villadangos where she investigated the effect of immunotherapy on a B cell lymphoma using 2-photon microscopy, flow cytometry and laser scanning confocal microscopy. In BOMP she provides training and expert consultation on optical systems including point scanning confocal and light sheet microscopes. Gabriela has great knowledge in assessing the quality of optical microscopes and troubleshooting and extended expertise in imaging analysis and quantification of optical images.
