Under the Coverslip: Where science becomes art

Winners announced and the beauty of science celebrated in this years Under the Coverslip competition.

Now in its twenty-second year, Under the Coverslip once again showcased research from universities across Australia in a showstopping exhibition.

Ben Czapla, co-chair of the Anatomy and Physiology Students' Society (APSS) who organise the event, said imaging can be powerful for science.

It helps us analyse our work but has much greater impacts on those around us. Imaging has been a huge part of my scientific life and my analysis work has relied on it. When I see my images, I think ‘analysis’ and when my friends see the same images they see how beautiful science can be.
