Biomedicine re-paw-ter: Teddy Bear Hospital
Bachelor of Biomedicine student Felicity Thianesysavanh takes us behind the scenes at the Teddy Bear Hospital - Good Friday Appeal.
The popular Teddy Bear Hospital, supported by the University of Melbourne and Smooth FM, was back on Good Friday to entertain kids and parents alike.
Children and their teddies were greeted by experienced teddy doctors, dentists and physios, who helped them listen to their teddy’s heart and lungs and take its blood pressure. X-rays and good paw hygiene were also part of the consultations!
The event raised $18,282 to provide much need funds to support the critical work of the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne – of this, $5,350 came from teddy bear sales.
