Focus Group Interviews: Exploring Student Perspectives on Lecture Transcripts
We're inviting Bachelor of Biomedicine students to participate in focus group discussions about the use of lecture transcripts in higher education.
What's involved?
- 1-hour group discussion with peers from your year level
- Share your experiences with lecturer-provided and AI-generated transcripts
- Discuss how transcripts impact your learning strategies and engagement
Who can participate?
Bachelor of Biomedicine students in first, second, or third year
What will we discuss?
- Your perceptions of lecture transcripts and their impact on learning
- How transcript use changes across different years of study
- The effect of asynchronous learning on transcript utilization
- Your note-taking practices when transcripts are available
- The impact of transcripts on lecture attendance and engagement
