Dr Charles Sevigny receives top physiology education award
The Australian Physiological Society’s Michael Roberts Excellence in Physiology Education Award goes to Dr Sevigny.
The Department of Physiology’s, Dr Charles Sevigny has been awarded the Michael Roberts Excellence in Physiology Education Award by the Australian Physiological Society (AuPS).
This is a prestigious award that recognises AuPS members who have demonstrated a sustained performance of excellence in the delivery of physiology education at the tertiary level, and make a contribution to the teaching activities of AuPS.
Professor Matt Watt, Head of the Department of Physiology, congratulated his colleague, who leads the School’s Digital Learning Hub – a contemporary learning experience at the forefront of educational technology.
“This award is due recognition of Charles’ active engagement and excellence in teaching and learning, focus and development of digital learning modalities in the School and recognition of his outstanding pastoral care.”
Dr Sevigny received a medal and cash award, and has been invited to deliver a keynote lecture at the Educational Symposium at next year's AuPS conference.
