The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and School of Biomedical Sciences together with the Biomed Student Society (BSS) are hosting a 'Careers Exploration Series' on subjects and topics relevant to 1st year biomed students. Held across three sessions, these panel conversations will feature experts across various areas.

These events will explore and highlight just some of the diverse career opportunities available with a Bachelor of Biomedicine. They offer an opportunity to connect with your peers IRL, and inspiration for what might be possible when you finish study.Studies show the earlier career thinking occurs the higher likelihood of success and satisfaction in the long term!

| A/Prof Khaled Ahmed A/Prof Ahmed is the Director of the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program, Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry and General Practice at the Melbourne Dental School. He has extensive leadership experience in educating healthcare professionals internationally, working with underrepresented and underserved communities, with over 21 years of clinical experience across the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Australia. |
| Dr Rayner completed his Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Medicine at Melbourne University and has subsequently become a General Practitioner working in Victoria. He has trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Northern Hospital and completed further training with Harvard Medical School and the University of Glasgow. His work currently focuses on digital health and primary care integration. Morgan is the coordinator of the second and third years of the Doctor of Medicine and has research interests in inter-professional education, digital healthcare and internationalising curriculums. |
| Kimia Mohammadsaeedi Kimia is a final year Doctor of Medicine student at the University of Melbourne who will be undertaking her internship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She loves assisting other students in their journeys and is looking forward to meeting you all. |

After completing a major in Human Structure and Function and taking a semester to study abroad to explore the various pathways in healthcare, she took a leap of faith with enrolling in dental school and has not looked back since |
| Ashleigh Mayes Ashleigh graduated from highschool in Canada, and decided to move back to Australia for University enrolling in the Bachelor of Biomedicine in 2021. She graduated with a B-BMED with a neuroscience major in 2023, and was on the Dean's list in all 3 year levels. She got accepted into the UniMelb MD program in 2024 and was placed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital clinical school |
