Cell sorting MBC

Cell sorting at the MBC

As well as multi-colour immune cell sorting,  MBC staff specialise in niche tissues: stem cells, neural and other solid organs, subcellular particles and cell lines. We sort a lot of fluorescent proteins with applications such as: barcoding, YFP/ GFP separation and FRET.

Excellent recovery rates for single-cell sorting experiments for applications such as single-cell RNAseq.

Becton Dickinson FACS Aria III (4L)

This 4-laser, 13-colour cell sorter is ideal for multi-colour panel sorting up to 10 colours. 4 violet detectors. Excellent recovery for single-cell sorting experiments.

With an air management system, this instrument can accommodate samples that require an extra level of biohazard containment to a level of PC2+ (BSL2+)
