Success in the 2023 Research Infrastructure Excellence Awards

The Melbourne Histology Platform is pleased to announce one of our staff was recognised in the inaugural (2023) Research Infrastructure Excellence Awards.

At the Research Infrastructure end of year celebration on 6th December, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure) Professor Ivan Marusic awarded MHP's manager, Dr Chris Freelance, the 2023 University of Melbourne Research Infrastructure Excellence Award for Science Communication, Engagement and Outreach.

Dr Freelance received the award "For leading a range of outreach activities, including delivering a science communication training session for Research Platform staff, connecting with an Indigenous artist who sought to create histology-related artworks and contributing to strengthening the connections between Research Platforms through joint workshops and seminars."
