MHP is now using iLab for booking services

The iLab system is now available for you to book Melbourne Histology Platform (MHP) services from the 1st October 2020. Moving to iLab now provides you a more streamlined experience for booking and payment of our services.

Timeline

  • 1 Oct: iLab available to book any MHP services including training, stains, consulting and so on
  • 28 Sep – 30 Oct: Continue to use Google Calendar to book MHP equipment
  • 30 Oct: Access to Google Calendar will be disabled
  • 31 Oct: Use iLab to book MHP equipment and services

University of Melbourne users: what do I need to do?

  • All University of Melbourne employees currently using MHP have been registered and assigned to a lab in the new system. Please sign into iLab using the University’s single sign on technology, ensure you have been assigned to the correct lab and navigate the tabs
  • If you are a Principal/Chief Investigator, before Thursday 1st October, please log into iLab and check the correct researchers and Themis account strings have been allocated to your lab. This is important to ensure your lab is billed correctly. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the iLab Quick Reference Guide for Principal Investigators. Refer to the QRG if you desire to delegate the ‘Lab Manager’ responsibility.
  • Follow the iLab Quick Reference Guide for Researchers to make any new MHP bookings from the 1st October.
  • Continue to use Google Calendar until the 30th October to book MHP equipment. Access to Google Calendar will be disabled at 5pm on Friday 30 October. This will allow you time to check if your existing bookings have been correctly transferred to iLab.

External users: what do I need to do?

  • Register for an account in iLab following the instructions in the iLab Quick Reference Guide for Researchers
  • If you are a Principal/Chief Investigator, please register and check if researchers have requested to be part of your lab. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the iLab Quick Reference Guide (QRG) for Principal Investigators. Refer to the QRG if you desire to delegate the ‘Lab Manager’ responsibility.
  • Follow the iLab Quick Reference Guide for Researchers to make any new MHP bookings from the 1st October.
  • Continue to use Google Calendar until the 30th October to book MHP equipment. Access to Google Calendar will be disabled at 5pm on Friday 30 October. This will allow you time to check if your existing bookings have been correctly transferred to iLab.
