Teaching & Learning Specialists from DMI get insight on student success in the digital era and more at EduCon 2025.

Last month, a group of teaching specialists from the Department of Microbiology & Immunology attended the annual EduCon meeting in Adelaide. The theme, Shaping Future Education Practices, centred on meaningful discussions around current teaching-industry focussed topics, including the latest innovations in learning and assessment, enabling student success in the digital era - and staying resilient as educators.

Yu May, Daniel, Jessica and Sophie presented their work around modernising teaching practices, with an emphasis on enhancing feedback, assessment and engagement in the classroom.
Drs Sophie Paquet-Fifield & Yu May Soh were both recipients of the 2025 ASM Teacher's Travel Award which supported their travel costs and registration to attend EduCon.

About ASM EduCon
The ASM EduCon meeting held in Adelaide each year is an opportunity for academics with teaching roles to give presentations on their work and research, network with educators from Australia and have meaningful discussions on current teaching-industry focussed topics.
