SBS Hosts Annual Learning and Teaching Day
The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) started the academic year with its annual Learning and Teaching Day, prior to welcoming students to Semester 1.
The event brought educators together to share innovations, celebrate achievements and explore new opportunities for enhancing student learning.

The program featured presentations from A/Prof Chantal Hoppe (Monash University), who spoke on developing professional skills in Biomedicine, an area of growing importance as students prepare for diverse career pathways. Mr Michael Gurner (UoM Global Learning) also delivered an insightful session on international study opportunities, highlighting the rich global experiences available to SBS students.

Alongside external speakers, the day showcased a series of engaging presentations and workshops led by SBS’s own educators, spotlighting the learning and teaching creativity and commitment across the School.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of the inaugural SBS Innovation and Impact Travel Awards, recognising our educators who are driving impactful teaching and learning practice.
