Celebrating our new professors

Congratulations to our outstanding colleagues who were successful in achieving promotion to the position of full professor in 2024.

The School of Biomedical Sciences and the University of Melbourne are renowned for the exemplary leadership and contributions of our professors.

Prof Alexandra Corbett (Dept of Microbiology & Immunology)

Alexandra is Head of the Corbett Laboratory. She has made important findings about a type of immune cell called mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells. Read more

Prof Isabelle Rouiller, (Dept of Biochemistry & Pharmacology)

Isabell’s research group utilises cryo-electron microscopy to study how molecular machines function. Read more

Prof Linda Wakim (Dept of Microbiology & Immunology)

Linda's laboratory is currently working towards developing improved vaccines and treatment approaches for respiratory infections. Read more
