Can you explain your research and its significance in 3 minutes? SBS 3MT Competition

The School of Biomedical Sciences celebrated our PhD studies with a 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. 3MT is a globally-recognised competition that supports students’ capacity to effectively explain their research and its significance in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

In front of our expert panel of judges including A/Prof Vicki Lawson, Prof Alexandra Corbett, Dr Christine Keenan and Prof Erica Fletcher, our students had a strict 3 minutes to show their academic, presentation and research communication skills.

Congratulations to Jason Ha, winner, and Salma Naleem Farook, runner-up, on your excellent presentations. Jason will now be nominated to compete in the MDHS 3MT Competition Final and we wish him the best of luck for his next presentation.
