Boatchella … the return of the Biomedicine Students’ Society annual cruise

What better way to take a break from studying than a festival-themed cruise along the Yarra River?

On May 18, The Biomedicine Students’ Society put away their textbooks and pulled out their best fesitval outfits for ‘Boatchella’, the annual BSS cruise. With tickets having sold out in less than 24 hours, the event marked a highly anticipated return to social events after two years of lockdowns.

Bringing together 300 Biomedicine students from various points in their degree, the night included DJs, drinks, and plenty of dancing. A particular highlight of the evening was the student film photographer who took over 200 film photos, providing a unique way to remember the night!

The Biomedicine Students’ Society (BSS) is a student group specifically for Bachelor of Biomedicine Students. Along with fabulous social events such as Boatchella, BSS also provide career information, study groups, peer course advice, and a sense of course identity for students at all stages of their undergraduate degree.
