Here’s to O-Week, our new students and our Biomedicine Students' Society!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Biomedicine Students' Society for their time, energy and enthusiasm in welcoming our first year Bachelor of Biomedicine students during O-Week.

Welcome to all our new Biomedicine students!

Starting your first year of University can definitely be daunting! And we know having a welcoming, fun and vibrant group of peers to help you settle into university life, makes the transition much easier.

The 'How to Melbourne' series designed and delivered by the BSS aims to help our incoming international, interstate, and rural students explore the city, make new friends, and feel more connected to their new home.

Here’s the recap of the past couple of weeks!

The How to Uni session followed by picnic and coffee catch up started O-Week the right way – top tips, sunshine and the opportunity to start building new connections.

BSS Trivia Night – a staple in the BSS calendar was a night of chaotic questions, big laughs and bigger prizes.

The How to Melbourne City Walking Tour included a stroll through colourful laneways, the city’s iconic squares, historic streets and was finished off with some tasty treats at the summer night market.

Other events included a trip to Melbourne Zoo and coming up this weekend, the BSS O-Week Camp!

Across the University of Melbourne some 15,000 new students were welcomed during O-Week.
