A/Prof Katarzyna Dziegielewska receives Order of Australia

Associate Professor Dziegielewska was recognised for her life’s work in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Associate Professor Dziegielewska (AM) was appointed Member of the Order of Australia in June, “For significant service to tertiary education, to anatomy and neurobiology, and as a mentor.”

An honorary member of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Associate Professor Dziegielewska is among 104 members of the University of Melbourne community included on the list in 2020.

She has held numerous academic roles at the University in the past, including that of Principal Research Fellow in the Saunders laboratory for developmental neuroscience and neurotrauma.

The Queen’s Birthday Honours list recognises Australians who have made outstanding contributions to their community and to Australia on either a local or global scale.
