Anatomy & Physiology Welcomes New Honours and Masters Students

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology held the inaugural Welcome event for all incoming Honours and Masters students.

On Thurs 24th Feb The Department held the inaugural Welcome event for all incoming Honours and Masters students in the Harry Brookes Allan Museum of Anatomy and Pathology.

After a few challenging years, Honours Coordinators Drs Michelle Rank and Angelina Fong and Masters Coordinators Drs Garron Dodd and Mike Clark, were delighted to be able to host this on campus event that gathered together academic staff and graduate researchers to offer a warm welcome to our new student researchers.

The event was an opportunity for students to meet key Department staff members, including Head of Department Prof Matt Watt, who offered sage words of advice, encouragement, and a cautionary tale or two. There was also plenty of time to explore the unique specimens in the museum, one of Australia’s largest collections of human tissue and comparative anatomy specimens. The Welcome event was an exciting new addition to the Department calendar and a wonderful way to begin the year.
