Here’s how the University supports Bachelor of Biomedicine students to explore a myriad of future careers.
Where could a Bachelor of Biomedicine take you? The Careers Exploration Series, designed specifically for first year Biomedicine undergraduates, sees University, industry experts and health professionals help students explore the diverse career opportunities available to them beyond graduation in live sessions on research & industry, health science, and medicine & industry.
As well as opportunities to meet fellow students and industry leaders, the University has a Work Integrated Learning focus – transporting students into the realm of innovation and discovery.
Work integrated learning in biomedicine is important because it connects academic learning with real-world practice, builds technical and professional competencies, enhances employability and confidence, provides career clarity and networks, and prepares students for dynamic, non-linear careers through adaptability and transferable skill. It enriches the biomedical education experience and equips students for success in a broad range of careers in industry, research, and vocations.
