Meet Anita
At high school Anita wasn't sure what career she wanted to pursue, but she believed having a Bachelor of Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne would open more doors in the future.
Majoring in neuroscience, Anita did a number of breadth subjects that have given her many employability skills essential for navigating her career.
My breadth subjects allowed me to take a breather from my biomed subjects (and also boosting some marks)…they actually taught me a lot of soft skills that I still utilise in my personal and professional life today.
Now working full time as a lab manager in a neuroscience research lab, Anita is looking forward to continuing on her current career journey.
“I'm very much a people-person, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time as a lab manager and I'd like to continue a career doing similar roles.”
