Our Students

In the Digital Learning Hub, we recognise that we can learn as much from our students as they can from us. Therefore, we seek to foster the ongoing development of digital fluency for those who are interested, and provide the opportunity to work together with our development team to create novel learning tools as part of their coursework. Here are some of our students and their projects:

Ivy Weng

Ivy is a third-year undergraduate student studying Biomedical Engineering. She joins us for a subject as part of her coursework to develop interactive online modules for understanding biochemistry

Ivy Weng
"In the future, I hope to be able to utilise my biomedical and engineering skills to develop programs that can help with the healthcare industry and education. I was driven to pursue biomedical sciences because I wanted to help people and by solving problems through software development, I can help more people on a grander scale."
Christian Fabris
“Virtual Reality presents an excellent opportunity to positively impact how future generations will learn.”

Christian Fabris

Christian is an Honours student in the Department of Physiology studying the efficacy of the Virtual Reality Human Heart application developed within the Digital Learning Hub. He is investigating how the application has been deployed at scale within the Hub, and how students perceived the VR experience. Christian has already published his first manuscript, a review of Virtual Reality in education, and is hoping to publish several more articles about his work as he concludes his Honours year.
