My interest is in vector borne viruses. I focus on antiviral immunity in mosquitoes. Current projects involve the understanding of the mosquito's immune system and the development of strategies to design vectors which cannot transmit diseases. I have extensive experience working with arboviruses, especially alphaviruses and flaviviruses at different biological containment levels.
