Ellie Cho


Dr Ellie Cho is an academic specialist in the Biological Optical Microscopy Platform at the University of Melbourne. The platform provides access, training and support for state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy equipment located across nine departments/Schools at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences and the Faculty of Science at the University of Melbourne. Ellie Cho completed a PhD in Anatomy and Neuroscience at The University of Melbourne in 2009 and continued postdoctoral research before joining the platform in 2014. Ellie Cho provides expert advice to researchers in microscopy experimental design, advanced imaging applications especially in High-contents Imaging system, and bioimage analyses. From her previous collaborations, Ellie Cho has developed quantitative image analysis tools and image analysis scripts for automation of high throughput image quantification.
