The CSTI (Cell Signalling and its Therapeutic Implications) Symposium series was established as a tribute to the memory of Associate Professor Martin Lackmann who tragically and suddenly passed away on 22nd May 2014. His colleagues in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Monash University wanted to recognize his contributions to cell signalling research, as well as his determination to translate new discoveries into improved treatment strategies for human disease, and to commemorate these in the CSTI Symposium Series. The Lackmann Medal for Translational Research recognizes the recipient’s outstanding  contribution in translating cell signaling research to the clinical setting.

Tribute to Professor Martin Lackmann.
