The Centre for Pathogen Genomics is pleased to announce the launch of its Strategic Plan 2027- 2031, setting out an ambitious agenda to strengthen multidisciplinary partnerships, advance innovation in pathogen genomics research, and establish the Centre as a global leader in public health pathogen genomics.
Vision: Advancing pathogen genomics with transformative research linking policy and practice
Mission: To enable effective and equitable implementation of pathogen genomics through collaboration and partnerships
Values: The Centres work is underpinned by four core values: collaboration, translation, equity and integrity.
Strategic Priorities
The strategy identifies four priorities that will guide the Centre’s work over the next five years
- Drive and innovate pathogen genomics research globally
- Develop and deploy innovative bioinformatics methods, tool and platforms
- Foster meaningful partnerships to enhance impact
- Establish the Centre as a global leader in public health pathogen genomics
Collectively, these priorities are intended to enable the Centre to deliver meaningful impact in infectious disease preparedness and response across Australia, the Asia-Pacific region, and globally.
