Congratulations to our recipients of the 2019 EMCRA Collaborative Awards

Exciting news for two of our EMCRA's in the Dept of Physiology. Dr Stacey Keenan (left) a Post Doc in Watt Lab is collaborating with Dr Joanna Sacharz, their project is “Targeting Fat: Characterisation of protein-protein interactions regulating lipid metabolism”. Dr Mariana Del Rosso De Melo (Right) a Post Doc in Allen Lab is collaboratoring with Dr Makhala Michelle Khammy and Dr Aung Aung Kywe Moe, their project is  "Is cardiorespiratory regulation affected by perinatal cannabinoid exposure?”

This year the EMCRA steering committee received 15 applications from a total of 36 applicants. The applications were of incredible quality, reflecting the exceptional talent of the postdocs in our School. The panel would like to thank all applicants for their applications and were pleased to be able to provide detailed feedback from three external reviewers for each application. Stacey and Mariana's collaborative projects were two of the four funded for 2019.
