Virtual Reality Comes to the University of Melbourne Med Student Conference 2019

The Digital Learning Hub packed its VR gear into a truck and went crosstown to the Melbourne Convention Centre for the 2019 Med Student Conference.

As part of the Surgical Simulations workshop, future doctors from the Melbourne Medical School engaged with Virtual and Mixed Reality surgical simulators, and VR anatomy training applications in what shaped up to be a packed and successful workshop. VR medical training is an outstanding way to learn new procedures in a realistic and immersive environment with zero risk to the patient or operator. This is yet another exciting and emerging pathway for VR!
