Physiology Students Hold a Beating Heart in Their Hands, and Don’t Need Gloves

An image of the Virtual Reality Human Heart application

Physiology students from the Biomedicine and Science degrees descended upon the Digital Learning Hub by the thousands to explore a human heart in Virtual Reality.

The VR Human Heart application, built locally by the Digital Learning Hub, allows students to hold a beating heart, make parts clear to explore inside, and even make it big enough to step inside! The activity provides a great opportunity to understand the many nuances of the human heart in motion, and sets the stage for future VR heart learning modules in the Medical program.
