What to Expect at the DLH
Have an upcoming activity at the Digital Learning Hub? Here are some tips to make sure you get the most out of your experience.
The School of Biomedical Sciences Digital Learning Hub is located in room W313 of the Medical Building (third floor, west wing). The Medical Building is on the corner of Grattan St and Royal Pde.
Virtual Reality
The Oculus Rift headsets we use cover your head and face. If you wear glasses or other headwear, and have the option to wear a smaller version (or contact lenses), it will make your experience more comfortable.
If you are particularly prone to motion sickness or have a vestibular disorder, please make a demonstrator aware at the beginning of your session, and we can organise a seat for you, which generally eases any potential discomfort.
We are equipped to accommodate any mobility issues at your session. Please speak with a demonstrator at your session who will assist you.
At the start of your session, you will watch a very short video which teaches you how to put on the headset, use the controllers, and be safe and healthy using VR.
