Project Details
This study, titled “Patient Voices” is a meta-analysis of the anonymised content of patient email enquiries (received by Stem Cells Australia between 2012 and 2016) and will seek to better understand what those who are actively seeking information about stem cell treatments want to know. Information-based initiatives, such as EuroStemCell and Stem Cells Australia, already seek to support informed decision making by patients considering stem cell-based interventions, however, to-date our understandings of patient and caregiver motivations, priorities and decision-making processes remain fairly limited. This project will make an important empirical contribution to the field.
