Room G26, BioSciences 1
The Melbourne Histology Platform and the BioSciences Microscopy Unit invite you to an upcoming seminar: Sample preparation and staining for optical and electron microscopy.
In this seminar, we will cover the key aspects of preparing biological tissues for optical and electron microscopy:
- Sample preparation: methods of tissue fixation and considerations when selecting a fixative; methods of tissue embedding; tissue sectioning
- Sample staining: mainstream staining approaches; designing and performing immunolabelling experiments; troubleshooting common staining problems
The seminar will be held 10am – 1pm on Monday 11th November in Room G26, BioSciences 1. The final hour of the session will be set aside as question time or for attendees to discuss current/upcoming projects individually with the presenters.
If you wish to attend, please RSVP by Thursday 7th November.
