I studied Molecular Biology and Genetics in Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Then I moved to Yeditepe University, Turkey for my MSc studies on cerebral ischemia. I obtained my PhD from Hannover Medical School, Germany on lymphocyte migration. After my PhD, I moved to RWTH Aachen University as a postdoctoral researcher and continued working on lymphocyte migration using in vivo cell tracking. In 2017, I moved to University of Melbourne as a postdoctoral researcher. Currently I am working on early immune responses against viral infections and interactions between T cells and dendritic cells.
