More opportunities for world-wide learning

Universities foster ties as the Bio21 Institute welcomed University of Padua delegates last week.

Student exchange opportunities have been strengthened with a renewed Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Melbourne and the University of Padua.

Bio21 Molecular Science & Biotechnology Institute welcomed biomedical science leaders from the University of Padua on Thursday 6 September.

The delegates included: Professor Alessandro Paccagnella, Professor Mara Thiene, Professor Alessandro Martucci and Ms Elena Autizzi.

As part of their visit, the guests heard from School of Biomedical Sciences head Fabienne Mackay, and Bio21 Institute director Michael Parker.

A tour of the university also showcased the Platform Technology Facilities at the Bio21 Institute.

The universities will now continue to foster ties including opportunities for student exchange – with an interest in exchanges between the Faculty of Medicine Dentistry and Health Sciences, and Science.
