Dr Hui-Fern Koay wins Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research
Fern was one of five of Victoria's most talented health and medical researchers in the early stages of their careers to be recognised for their pioneering breakthroughs that are improving care and changing lives.
The awards honour the outstanding work and discoveries of up-and-coming health and medical researchers in the early stages of their career.
The Premier's Awards expanded to include categories in the areas of basic science, clinical, public health and health services research.
Nicholas Gerardin, another postdoc in the Godfrey Laboratory, Department of Microbiology & Immunology, was a finalist in the same round.
Our congratulations to Fern on winning this award, and to Nicholas who made the finals for the same award.
