Paul completed his PhD simulating and analysing large Astrophysical datasets. He joined the Center to apply his knowledge of big-data to the Stemformatics gene expression data. His focus is on understanding common patterns of gene expression exhibited by all data in Stemformatics, regardless of their origin. This includes common patterns across different cell types, as well as across different experimental platforms such as Microarrays and RNA Sequencing.
