Helen Flett
Engagement and Events Officer
Helen Flett (née Braybrook) is the Engagement and Events Officer at the Centre for Stem Cell Systems.
Helen leads the development of promotional content, including the website articles, event flyers and multimedia assets, to showcase the Centre's dynamic research network. She built the Centre website and continues to develop content to keep it up to date. She also manages the Centre's Twitter account.
Helen organises activities and events that engage the Centre for Stem Cell Systems with community, research and government stakeholders, including workshops, outreach and public events.
Helen was also the Engagement and Events Officer for Stem Cells Australia, a $24 million Australian Research Council Special Research Initiative from 2017 - 2019.

- Article: Connecting with Stem Cell Conversations
Helen is running a new weekly online talk series 'Stem Cell Conversations' to connect researchers with the stem cell network, to share insights into latest research and how to master working from home in academia, hosted on Zoom. - Article: UniStem 2020 - Knowledge, innovation and the never-ending journey of stem cell research
Helen managed the planning, development and execution of this event for high school students, to help them understand the science of stem cells and experience an interactive lab tour. - At the Frontier of Tomorrow's Medicine: Helen produced 23 videos to showcase Australian stem cell research and the passionate people leading it. She is currently collaborating with academics to create a teaching resource using the videos to teach into Australian Curriculum 7-10: Science and the Australian Senior Secondary Curriculum: Biology.
